MANUEL MADRID-ARIS, is
an engineer and economist. He is currently an international consultant in the field of business-economics and public
policy. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Economics
at Florida International University, Miami - USA. His research interest
are in the field of development economics, international economics,
economics of regulation and antitrust, public utility economics, and
environmental economics. His experience as an international consultant
is extensive and includes being a consultant to both governmental agencies
in several countries as well as to the private sector at international
level. He holds an Civil Engineering degree with specialization in water
resources and environmental planning from Universidad Técnica
Federico Santa María of Chile. He also holds a Master Degree
in Economics and a Doctorate in Political Economy and Public Policy
from University of Southern California, Los Angeles - USA.
